2022.01.21 21:16 lavenderbabes1314 My bf and I are trying to make it work after a breaking up…I desperately need advice
So my bf (m21) and I (f22)were together for 4 years before he broke up with me 3 months ago. We started dating really young and grew into adults together. His reason for breaking up with me was complicated. I think a big part of it was the fact that I have finished school and started my career and he hasn’t even thought about what he plans to do with his life. We were planning on moving in together and starting our adult lives together and he said that scared him; because he doesn’t even know what he wants in life and neither of us have really had the chance to figure it out on our own. I agreed with him (mostly because I knew it was the best decision if he felt this way but I really didn’t want to breakup with him). After the breakup we went pretty much no contact other than a few messages exchanged. The past months were so hard for me. He was the first boy I’ve ever dated or been with. (I wasn’t his first gf) so this was also my first heartbreak, it was shockingly painful. I was very very depressed the first month, but I helped myself I started therapy, started working more hours and hanging out with coworkers. I was feeling better, then he reached out about how badly he missed me and how I was his guidance in life and without me he hasn’t been making smart choices for his future. I missed him so much he was truly my best friend. I have never been so close to a person in my life, he knew my soul and I truly felt I knew his. I decided to meet up with him to talk about things in person. When we met up we both cried and held each other for a while. He didn’t tell me he wanted to get back together until about an hour into our meeting. He didn’t seem sure that’s what he wanted when he first met up. I asked him if he was sure and told him to take a few weeks to think about it, he told me he has been thinking about it and he doesn’t need anymore time. We both agreed that this relationship was going to be different from the one we were in for years. We decided we were no longer focusing on building our future together but more so enjoying each other in the preset. I felt like it made sense not committing to the rest of our lives together because we are still so young.when we were together before committing forever was really what our relationship was based on, and I know that put a lot of pressure on him. I made it very clear that if we were to start dating we could be exclusive and he agreed. A big issue in our relationship previously was the fact that he would like/follow a lot of pretty girls from our town. It made me insecure and he knew it hurt me, we talked about it several times and it never stopped. That was a big reason for the breakup too. Since we started talking we have yet to add each other back on social media, although I have done some stalking and seen that he is still doing it. This is the part I need advice on, is it reasonable for me to not want him to do those things? Is it a red flag that he is or is it something I need to work on? I don’t want it to bother me. in this new relationship we are trying to build I’m not sure if I’m justified in asking him to stop. Since we got back together he hasn’t made a huge effort to reach out to me via text. Although when we are together it feels so good and natural. I really don’t know what to think about this situation anymore, I desperately don’t want to go through that horrible heartbreak again and I truly love him and want to enjoy him. I became very codependent on him, my therapist said me expecting him to text me throughout the day is a symptom of my codependency. I want to be a better women for him but I also want him to be a better man for me. I know he loves me and I know he doesn’t want to hurt me. I need to know if I should approach him about liking/following other girls, and if so how do I approach it? And if that is unreasonable to ask or want, how do I feel better about it and stop myself from getting so hurt? Please be honest but also nice I really am trying my best

2022.01.21 21:16 MustBeTheMusic80 Is it a sin to be Patriotic?
I read somewhere that it's a sin for a person to be Patriotic, oddly another Christian person disagreed because they feel only a Democrat would believe that Patriotism is a sin.

2022.01.21 21:16 BornLavinia59 Two teachers go beyond..............
Was grocery shopping today around 430. Two ladies behind me were talking and getting some groceries, I assumed on their way home. Assumed wrong.....Full grocery cart of food for a family who had none. Those teachers will know who they are if they are reading this. I watched them in the parking lot loading the food into one of their cars. Not new cars, not Canada Goose coats, no suntans, but hard working teachers who know all about the effects of inflation and the pandemic on "their" students. The tip off......one had her i.d. hanging around her neck and I remarked that it must have been quite a week between coming back to school and the snow and busses and all the rest. She said it had "been a week, but nothing like hearing one of their families didn't have any food".
So thank you to these wonderful human beings. Going above and beyond their roles as teachers.

2022.01.21 21:16 ClickClackTicTacToe Color Options - You Decide!
I am completely unable to decide between 2 color options for the 2022 Mazda 3 GT Turbo Sedan. I LOVE Soul Red Crystal Metallic, but I don't feel so strongly about getting black seats (that burn up in the summer*) or white seats (that may dirty quickly). I LOVE the red seats in the 2022 sedan and how it's complimented by a black dashboard instead of a red one.
So, I'll let reddit decide (or at least see if you can sway me one way or the other). Which of the following combinations do you think is best?
* Before people comment about all leather seats heating up in the summer, I get it. But my particular experience is that every time I open the door to a car that's been in the sun all day, the wave of hot air gives me a serious headache that I'd rather not drive with. Maybe that won't be different with white/red seats, but everyone I know with leather seats has black, so I won't know until I try.

2022.01.21 21:16 Tricky_Taro1718 BU FitRec Pickup Basketball Times?
Hi all, I'm a grad student in the south campus and haven't been to the fitrec to play ball yet.
I'm thinking on going on weekends. Does anyone when full court games usually go on during weekends?
And what's the pickup etiquette like (just want to make sure I don't embarrass myself IRL)? I went to a large west coast university where we would play ones to eleven and whoever has next game is able to form the team.

2022.01.21 21:16 Dnovelta Tips on how to get better at building?
I've been a long time player of the game but I feel like my builds don't have "it". They're not terrible, but they're pretty basic. They're not generally flat, but they don't have any pop or life, just...not completely bland.
I've watched as many YT videos on building houses and structures, but a lot of the time it feels very..."rest of the fucking owl" to me. There's a lot of talk that the foundation of a structure is important, but not how to identify what makes a foundation "good" or "bad" - which is obviously subjective but having some initial point of reference is useful. Like building a house maybe it isn't a good idea to have two sections jutting out from the same side of the house, otherwise it loses some of its shape and you lose some locations to put windows. Or some recommendations of roof types for specific structures or aspects of structures, like flat-ish roofs for balconies and overhands, and A-frame style roofs for the primary structure and things like doorways and windows jutting out from the roof-line. Why do these recommendations work, etc.
More than anything though, I would love to watch some videos/guides that mix and match things in a singular build and show how they accomplish it. I've been wanting to build a house that uses a mixture of straight and diagonal walls but am constantly tripped up by how to connect the roofs. Everything I've tried looks terrible and I'm not sure what needs to change to make it look decent.
Any tips/tricks/guides/tutorials that go over general building guidelines (from basic to advanced) would be super appreciated.
